For the drinking and/or parties before St. Patrick’s Day, the Costa Mesa Police Department are having a DUI checkpoint on March 13, 2009. Details from the police department’s press release are at the following link:

The Costa Mesa Police Department will be conducting a sobriety / driver license checkpoint on Friday evening, March 13, 2009, from 7:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. The checkpoint will be located on northbound Harbor Boulevard, at Gisler Avenue. The checkpoint, police say, is to educate the public about the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or without a valid driver license.
Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. “Drunk Driving. Over The Limit. Under Arrest.â€Â
