The 10 Best Celebrity DUI Arrest Mugshots

Friday, April 30th, 2010

http://nakedlaw.avvo.com/2010/04/10-hilarious-celebrity-dui-mugshots/

1. Nick Nolte—There’s just no way you can have this list without putting Nolte at the #1 spot. Greatest. Mugshot. Ever.

2. Lindsay Lohan—After her ridiculous lawsuit against E-Trade, I’m afraid to say anything bad about this young actress. Good thing the picture speaks for itself.

3. Paris Hilton—On this “night in Paris,” the hotel heiress and notorious party girl was charged with a DUI after some erratic driving and a failed field sobriety test.

4. Mike Tyson—The Baddest Man on the Planet was hit with a DUI after running a stop sign and nearly hitting a sheriff’s car.

5. Haley Joel Osment—He seems genuinely happy to be getting arrested for a DUI. Of course, he was also found with some marijuana, so maybe that’s what had him in such a great mood.

6. Rip Torn—In 2006, Rip Torn, who was 75 years old at the time, got ripped and decided to drive. The result was one of the most classic mugshots of the decade.

7. Kim Mattingly—Okay, so this was for public intoxication and not a DUI, but it’s far too great to be left off this list. By the way, Kim Mattingly is ex-Yankees star Don Mattingly’s wife.

8. Natasha Lyonne—Any time you have to tell the officer you’re a “movie star”, you can bet he doesn’t know or care who you are.

9. Cynthia Watros—At last count, 4 actors from Lost had gotten DUIs. But Watros clearly provided the best mugshot of the group.

10. Mel Gibson—Can you believe it’s been almost 4 years since Gibson went on his anti-Semitic tirade after getting arrested in Malibu for drunk driving? Nothing like the good ol’ days.

Which one is your favorite mugshot? Can anyone really top Nick Nolte?

David Hasselhoff’s ex-wife has been sentenced to jail after pleading no contest to a drunken driving charge.

Los Angeles DUI cases often involve celebrities.  Court records show Pamela Bach entered a plea Thursday in a Los Angeles court and was sentenced to 90 days. She will begin serving the sentence in May.

She received 60 days of jail time because she was on probation for a previous drunken driving case when she was arrested in November. Authorities found she had a blood alcohol level of 0.14, well above the legal limit of 0.08.

Attorney Jon Artz says Bach “wants to do the right thing” and move forward with her life.

Bach was married to Hasselhoff for 16 years until he filed for divorce in 2006. She appeared as a cafe owner in several episodes of Hasselhoff’s series, “Baywatch.”

The Fountain Valley Police Department will be conducting a DUI/Drivers License checkpoint on Friday, April 30, 2010 from 9pm until 3am, in the City of Fountain Valley. The location of the checkpoint will be made available on the day of the checkpoint by contacting the police department. DUI Checkpoints aren’t very effective in catching drunk drivers, but they are a huge source of federal funding cash, MADD money, and impound fees for the police department.

Fullerton, California: The Fullerton Police Department will conduct a sobriety and driver’s license checkpoint Wednesday, May 5, as part of its ongoing efforts to educate motorists on the dangers of drinking and driving.

The checkpoint will be held from 6 p.m.-midnight in the 200 block of E. Commonwealth Avenue.

Motorists passing through the checkpoint will receive safe driving literature from Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD), Community Services Programs Inc. and the state Office of Traffic Safety.

If you have questions about the Fullerton DUI checkpoint, or any other Orange County DUI Checkpoint locations, feel free to contact Newport Beach DUI Lawyer Robert Miller, at (949) 682-5316, anytime.

Kim said DUI checkpoints are a “proven and effective method for achieving the department’s goal of increasing awareness as to the dangers of driving while impaired by either alcohol or drugs.

“By publicizing these enforcement and education efforts, the Police Department believes motorists can be deterred from drinking and driving.  Our objective is to send a clear message to those who are considering driving after consuming alcohol and/or drugs, and that message is ‘Drunk Driving:  Over the limit, under arrest.’”

Kim added the public can do its part to keep roadways safe by reporting drivers they suspect to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Funding for the checkpoint is being provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Further information about the checkpoint may be obtained by contacting the Fullerton Police Traffic Bureau at (714) 738-5313.

Barbie
Image via Wikipedia

A Briton caught drunk while driving a toy Barbie car, whose top speed is barely four miles per hour, has been banned from driving.  Forty-year-old Paul Hutton received a three-year ban as he had received another drink-drive ban within the past 10 years.  He was pulled over by police when he was driving an electric Barbie car that moves slower than a mobility scooter close to his home in Essex, The Telegraph reported Tuesday.

“You have to be a contortionist to get in, and then you can’t get out. I was very surprised to get done for drink-driving but I was a twit to say the least.  It is designed for three-to-five-year-olds. Originally it was a pink Barbie car but I put bigger wheels on it but it’s not fast,” he said after the hearing at Colchester magistrates court.

Our Orange County DUI Lawyers have been notified that the Cypress Police Department will conduct a DUI Checkpoint this coming weekend.

The Cypress Police Department will be conducting a DUI/Drivers License checkpoint on Saturday,  April 17, 2010, from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m., on Lincoln  west of Valley View.  In an effort to reduce the number of persons killed and injured in alcohol-involved crashes, DUI checkpoints are conducted to identify offenders and get them off the street, as well as educate the public on the dangers of impaired driving.

All too often, members of our community are senselessly injured or killed on local roadways by impaired drivers. This DUI/Drivers License checkpoint is an effort to reduce those tragedies, as well as insuring drivers have a valid driver’s license.  A major component of these checkpoints is to increase awareness of the dangers of impaired driving and to encourage sober designated drivers.

A DUI checkpoint is a proven effective method for achieving this goal.  By publicizing these enforcement and education efforts, the Cypress Police Department believes motorists can be deterred from drinking and driving.

Traffic volume and weather permitting, all vehicles may be checked and drivers who are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will be arrested.  Our objective is to send a clear message to those who are considering driving a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol and/or drugs – Drunk Driving, Over the Limit, Under Arrest. The public is encouraged to help keep roadways safe by calling 911 if they see a suspected impaired driver.

Funding for this operation is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Media inquires should be directed to Sergeant Tom Bruce at (714) 229-6619 or via email at tbruce@ci.cypress.ca.us. Press releases are distributed via a mass notification email list as well as being posted on our web site. Postings to the web site are sometimes delayed due to weekend or after hour releases. If not already on the email roster, you can register to receive the press releases by going to Press Release Registration.  It is the goal of the Cypress Police Department to provide prompt and accurate information to the public via the multitude of media outlets.
