Orange County DUI Checkpoint Locations: Brea

Our Orange County DUI Lawyers have learned of a DUI checkpoint in Brea, conducted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department from 7:00 p.m., to 3:00 a.m., at a yet undisclosed location.

Also, from Friday, July 1 through July 4, 2011, extra DUI roving patrols will be assigned within the cities of Brea, Buena Park, , Garden Grove, Irvine, La Habra, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Orange, Placentia, Santa Ana, Yorba Linda and the Police Department of the California State University at Fullerton.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department will deploy roving DUI patrols in their contract cities, and this weekend is a California Highway Patrol Maximum Enforcement Period: CHP will assign all available officers to the
region’s freeways, state highways and unincorporated roads beginning 6:00 p.m. Friday through midnight Monday.

Orange County DUI Checkpoint Locations: Brea

The Avoid the 26-Orange County DUI Campaign will be deploying officers this holiday weekend at DUI/Drivers License Checkpoints and DUI Saturation Patrols countywide to arrest drunk drivers.

The enforcement campaign begins Friday night with DUI/Drivers License checkpoints in the city of Anaheim, Buena Park and La Habra with special DUI Saturation Patrols deploying in the cities of Anaheim and La Habra.  The city of Seal Beach will host a DUI/Drivers License checkpoint in their city on Sunday night.  More local DUI Saturation Patrols will be out on Saturday and Sunday nights on the cities of Newport Beach, Brea, Buena Park, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Los Alamitos, Placentia, Santa Ana and the University of California, Irvine.  The California Highway Patrol is deploying all available officers Memorial Day weekend onto freeways and county roads in their jurisdiction.

Funding for the Avoid Campaign is through a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.  The Avoid Campaign will deploy checkpoints and DUI patrols again during the Independence Day Holiday and for the August/Labor DUI Mobilization. Orange County DUI Checkpoint Locations: Brea

Aside from Avoid the 38 roving patrols all over Orange County, our Orange County DUI Lawyers have learned that there’s a DUI Checkpoint from from 6 p.m. Sunday to 2 a.m. Monday at 6640 Beach Blvd., right in front of the Buena Park City Hall complex.

Those who fail the test face jail, fines, DUI classes, license suspension, court appearances, vehicle-storage fees and higher car-insurance rates. It’s been calculated one such infraction can set a driver back $10,000.

The Buena Park operation, like others in Orange County, is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Orange County DUI Checkpoint Locations: Brea

Our Newport Beach DUI Lawyers want to make sure you’re aware of where the DUI checkpoints are this weekend in Orange County.

From 7 tonight to 3 a.m. Saturday, a DUI/DL checkpoint will be up somewhere in Laguna Niguel.

During those same hours, DUI saturation patrols are scheduled in some of the bars and restaurants in La Habra.

The campaign has scheduled “DUI Taskforce Operations” from 2-3 a.m. Saturday in Buena Park, La Habra and Placentia, and saturation patrols during the same hours in Anaheim.

Finally, La Habra holds a DUI/DL Checkpoint from 7 p.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday.  Our Orange County DUI lawyers want you to be safe this weekend, people.

Orange County DUI Checkpoint Locations: Brea

Note: Our firm practices Orange County DUI defense. As a result, we get press releases from police agencies regarding checkpoints, and present them for your holiday planning.

The OC Sheriff’s Department announced the following DUI checkpoints for tonight, December 18, 2009, only (and others for tomorrow and future dates):

DUI/DL CHECKPOINT 7:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m., City of Anaheim
DUI/DL CHECKPOINT 7:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m., City of Buena Park
DUI/DL CHECKPOINT 7:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m., City of Garden Grove
DUI/DL CHECKPOINT 7:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m., City of Placentia
DUI/DL CHECKPOINT 7:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m., City of Westminster
DUI/DL CHECKPOINT 7:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m., City of Stanton
DUI Saturation Patrols 8:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m., City of Anaheim

Costa Mesa police also announced that they will be conducting one of two local DUI checkpoints tonight as part of a statewide crackdown on drunk drivers during the holidays.

From 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. tonight, police will be stationed at Newport Boulevard and Flower Street, stopping drivers and checking to see if they’re impaired, have a valid license or are breaking other driving laws.

As part of a California Office of Traffic Safety grant, police agencies statewide will be mounting DUI checkpoints through Jan. 3. State officials plan for 300 checkpoints from today through the beginning of 2010.

Costa Mesa police will mount their second checkpoint of the campaign Dec. 29 at Santa Ana Avenue and 18th Street, from 6 p.m. to midnight. (Source: Costa Mesa PD).

Cypress Police announced a very “Special Holiday DUI Crackdown”. The first of two holiday checkpoints in the city of Cypress will be on December 18, 2009, from 6pm to 2am and will be located on Katella at Cara Way. The second holiday checkpoint will be on December 26, 2009, from 6pm to 2am on Valley View and Lakeshore.
